Evgenia Medvedeva said Ovechkin will come back stronger after injury

Double world figure skating champion Evgenia Medvedeva expressed support for Washington hockey player Alexander Ovechkin who was out due to injury, presumably for 4-6 weeks, and lost the opportunity to get closer to Wayne Gretzky’s record in the upcoming National Hockey League games.

“Health! I am sure you will come back even stronger! A true example for millions of people! – Medvedeva wrote on her social media page.

The Russian forward fractured his left fibula at the end of the NHL regular season match against Utah (6:2), in which he scored two goals.

Ovechkin continues to break Wayne Gretzky’s record for most NHL regular season goals. The Russian has 868 goals, 26 goals to go before Gretzky’s record (894).
