Injured Russian hockey player Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin attended a basketball game Wizards of Washington against the Boston Celtics. The match took place in the American capital and ended in the defeat of the Washingtonians with a score of 96: 108.
The Wizards suffered their tenth straight loss and remained in last place in the Eastern Conference and overall league standings.
Ovechkin is recovering from a fractured left fibula suffered in the NHL away game against Utah (6:2). He is expected to be out for 4 to 6 weeks and will therefore not return to the ice until after the new year.
