Czech hockey player Klok, who left Neftekhimik for family reasons, moved to Switzerland to Bern

Czech defender Lukasz Klok has signed a contract with Bern, according to the Swiss hockey club’s website.

The deal with the 29-year-old runs until the end of the 2024/25 season.

“With the arrival of Lukash, we get an experienced and reliable defender. The Swiss championship is not new to him. We are convinced that he will adapt quickly and help our team,” said Bern general manager Patrick Bertschi.

On Thursday, Klok terminated his contract with Neftekhimik. The club’s general director, Igor Larionov, said that the cooperation ended due to the player’s family situation.

Klok joined Neftekhimik in 2021 and played 136 games for the team, scoring 67 (9+58) points. In the 2022/23 season, he played for several clubs, including Swiss Lugano, and then returned to the Nizhnekamsk team.
