The official opening of a memorial plaque in honor of the Honored Coach of the USSR, a former hockey coach, took place in Moscow. CSKA and national teams of the USSR, CIS and Russia Viktor Tikhonov reports a correspondent from the scene.
The memorial plaque is located on Bolshaya Gruzinskaya Street, in the house where Tikhonov lived for a long time. The event coincides with the tenth anniversary of the specialist’s death.

— Tikhonov is a big fan of our country. We remember a great man. How much did he earn? We played with him, against him. He did a lot for hockey, he brought the game to four lines. He was given the big job of leading the national team. Of course, the main thing is to remember him and train new coaches. Also present at the commemorative event was the Vice President of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) Valery Kamensky and president of CSKA Igor Esmantovich .

The event was attended by the leaders of the Army Central Sports Club, PHC CSKA, Night Hockey League, as well as honored guests.
