On Monday, the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) announced that Mike Keenan and Mike Pelino will lead the KHL World Team at the international tournament to be held in St. Petersburg in mid-December.
According to , Pelino further received an offer to join the coaching staff of Omsk Avangard. However, the 65-year-old specialist is inclined to refuse this option due to family circumstances.
Pelino has worked in the KHL since 2013, serving as an assistant at Metallurg, Avangard, Lokomotiv, Ak Bars, and also managing Lokomotiv in the second half of the 2019/20 season.
