The best sniper in the NHL last season was the American forward from Toronto. Auston Matthews has recovered from an upper body injury, the NHL’s official website reports.

Matthews missed three weeks and did not play in eight regular season games. He could take the ice on November 27 in a road game against Florida.

Matthews was the NHL’s leading scorer last season with 69 goals in 81 games. He has five goals and six assists in 13 games this season.

“Toronto” ranks fourth in the Eastern Conference with 28 points in 21 games.
