At the end of last season, the Chelyabinsk club won the KHL Marketing and Communications Award.
— It’s very cool at Traktor to work in the media. Last season we played with the theme of the movie “Brother 2” in a very interesting way. Various events are constantly organized and the team’s presentation arouses great interest each time. Now I think in 3×3 hockey there will also be a surprise in terms of media.
A lot also depends on the media, thanks to which more and more people watch hockey and are interested in it. Traktor head coach Benoit Groux communicates interestingly and treats the media with respect, which is very important, because journalists also do most of the broadcasting and generate interest.
I would like to note that one of the best journalists working in Chelyabinsk – Olesya Usova, she writes very interestingly. There are many talented people in Chelyabinsk who are increasing their interest in hockey and are close to Traktor. They can scold the team at the right time and the hockey players will play better because of it. It is not for nothing that they say that Chelyabinsk is the hockey capital of the Urals; everything in this city is saturated with hockey,” Shchitov told RB Sport.
Traktor leads the Eastern Conference standings with 44 points.
