Dynamo Moscow striker Nikita Buruyanov told that he struggled in his first few games in the Kontinental Hockey League, but was able to adapt.
In the 2024/25 season, Buruyanov played 18 matches in the FONBET KHL championship as part of Dynamo Moscow. The 22-year-old striker scored three goals and two assists.
— How have you already adapted to Dynamo and playing in the KHL in general?
— I was at Dynamo two years ago and last year at the training camp this summer. I understand what Alexey Nikolaevich (Kudashov, head coach) demands, I know most of the guys in the team. So everything within the team was clear to me and the adaptation was very easy.
In terms of the game, I can say that in the first matches it was difficult for me, but now I have already adapted. I felt the speed of the KHL and understood how they operate in this league. Here you need more concentration; the opponent can punish you at any time. We have to give ourselves even more to reach the KHL level and progress here.
— Describe in a few words the requirements of Kudashov, what kind of hockey does he offer the team?
“Alexei Nikolaevich asks us to play correct and precise hockey with dedication,” Buruyanov told .
