Panarin’s goal and assist helped Rangers beat Montreal and end their losing streak

Russian attacker New York Rangers Artemy Panarin scored a goal and an assist in the NHL regular season game with “Montreal” (4:3).

Panarin opened the scoring midway through the first half and also assisted Mika Zibanejad late in the second. The Russian’s goal was the 13th this season and the assist was the 15th.

Vincent Trocheck and Kaapo Kakko also scored for the Rangers, while Mike Matheson and Cole Caufield scored for Montreal. Kakko scored the winning goal on the power play 24 seconds before the end of regulation time.

The New York team broke a five-game losing streak; with 27 points, it ranks 6th in the NHL Eastern Conference. Montreal (19 points) occupies the last place, 16th place.
