The preliminary recovery period for the 27-year-old hockey player will be up to 20 weeks.
Yakimov started last season at Sochi and joined Dynamo in October. Previously, he also played for SKA Saint Petersburg, Severstal Cherepovets, Avangard Omsk and Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. In the KHL, he played a total of 308 games, scored 84 points (45 + 39).
Dynamo will kick off the new KHL season on September 3 with a home game against Ak Bars Kazan.
