KHL President Alexei Morozov believes that the league’s current salary cap is working well and that no changes are needed in this regard.
– Is the KHL considering lowering the salary cap?
— The 900 million ceiling works well. In clubs, management is used to working at this level. Everyone builds their strategy in advance to attract players. Some teams have two, three or four year contracts. If we reduce the contracts, it will become a problem for them,” Morozov told reporters.
The new KHL season begins on September 1.
