From August 22 to 28, the annual Governor’s Hockey Cup takes place in the Tula region. This year the event brought together 8 youth teams from all over Russia.
Legends of Russian Hockey Ilya Kovalchuk and Pavel Datsyuk attended the opening ceremony of the tournament and gave a master class for young hockey players.
“As for the structure of the Palace itself, I think every child is envious of white jealousy, because it is an excellent structure. Here, everything is done for children to flourish and play. It is also very convenient for the public. I know there will be a full stadium tonight, so it’s good that hockey is loved in Tula, ”said Kovalchuk.
– As parents, and everyone around, we need to spend more time with our children, because now there are a lot of temptations away from sports. I know this firsthand,” Datsyuk said.
Meetings are held in Novomoskovsk and at the Tula Ice Palace, which was built under the Gazprom for Children program. It is implemented by the Gazprom Social Initiatives Support Fund. This year, the project celebrates its 15th anniversary. During this period, more than 1,900 modern sports facilities were built across the country, including about 200 sports and recreation complexes.
