The match ended with the score 2:1 (1:0, 1:0, 0:1) in favor of the team from Novosibirsk. Vyacheslav Osnovin and Valentin Pyanov scored for Sibir. Reed Boucher scored Avangard’s only goal.
The Puchkov Hockey Tournament is held annually in St. Petersburg during the off-season. This year, the tournament takes place from August 23 to 28 with the participation of five KHL clubs: SKA, Avangard, Severstal, Sibir and Sochi.
