The Czech Hockey Union will not invite players from clubs of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) to the national team, according to the federation’s social networks.
As noted, we are talking about players who signed or will sign a contract with the KHL team after the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.
In May, the Finnish Hockey Union announced similar measures. In July, the Latvian Ice Hockey Federation announced that it had blocked the transfer of goalkeeper Janis Kalnins to Amur Khabarovsk. Earlier, the federation announced that Kalniņš would not be called up to the Latvian national team.
The new Fonbet season of the KHL Championship will start on September 1.
