Kazansky “AK Bars” started the TANECO Cup home pre-season tournament with a win, beating Yaroslavl “Locomotive” (2:0).
The outcome of the game was decided by two goals scored by the owners of the ice in the middle of the second period with a gap of just over two minutes. Danis Zaripov opened the scoring, Kirill Petrov secured the lead for Ak Bars.
“Ak Bars” goalkeeper Amir Miftakhov managed to keep his goal intact, noting the “rusk” in the asset.
Earlier, in the first round of the tournament, Neftekhimik defeated Salavat Yulaev (4:3 B) in a shootout. On Saturday, two clubs from Tatarstan will face each other.
