Captain of Yaroslavllocomotive at the start of the KHL regular season will be Sergei Andronov but after his return Alexei Marchenko a new vote will be held in the team, said the president of the hockey club Yuri Yakovlev.
Marchenko was Lokomotiv’s captain last season, Andronov joined the team this summer from CSKA. Earlier it became known that Marchenko due to injury will miss about three months.
Who will be the captain of the season?
– I think the coach and the players themselves will solve this problem. As far as I know, now the guys unanimously chose Andronov. But when Marchenko recovers, we will determine which of them is more important for the team. I am not against Sergei, not against Alexei. Who the guys follow will be more important,” Yakovlev told a press conference.
