Buffalo’s all-time leading scorer wins new $50 million contract

NHL club”Buffalo has agreed a new long-term deal with the striker Tagus Thompson .

Under this new contract, the 24-year-old American will earn a total of $50 million over 7 years. The contract will come into effect from the 2023/24 season.

Thompson’s average annual income will be over $7.1 million, five times what he currently earns ($1.4 million a year).

Thompson joined the Buffalos in 2018 when he was traded from St. Louis, which selected him in the first round of the 2016 draft.

Last season was the most productive of Thompson’s career – in 78 regular season games he scored 68 (38 + 30) points, becoming the Sabers’ leading scorer and leading scorer.
