The 20-year-old striker in a match with the St. Petersburg “Dynamo” fell under the receiving power of the opponent and got on the ice after a collision with the board. Tankov left the site on a stretcher. As it became known later, the hockey player suffered a fracture of the cervical vertebra and was inactive for a year.

SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg also reacted to the photo: “Thank God he’s alive.”

Due to Tankov 55 games in the VHL, during which he scored 11 goals and gave 15 assists with a utility indicator of “+13”. The striker has been playing in the Youth Hockey League since 2018, in total he played 183 games and scored 88 points (35 + 53) with a utility indicator of -25.
