Athletistic/Hockey. Russian ‘Washington Capitals’ forward Evgeny Kuznetsov was named the first star of the opening round game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with the Florida Panthers, which ended in a 4 win -2 for Capitals.
Kuznetsov scored in the 49th minute from a pass from Alexander Ovechkin. The game’s second star was fellow Capital forward TJ Oshi, who scored the puck in the 51st minute. The first three individual award winners close out “Panthers” goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky, who stopped 34 of 37 shots on goal.
For “Washington”, in addition to Kuznetsov and Osha, Tom Wilson (4′) and Lars Eller (60′) scored. Sam Bennett (18′) and Claude Giroud (22′) scored in Florida. The second match of the first-round playoff between these teams will take place on May 6, the meeting starts at 02:30 Moscow time.
