“In our organization they know very well how good he is and how much we appreciate him. Igor came ready. In Russia he showed a level comparable to mine. It was important to find a person who would help him adapt, it’s very Benoit Aller, goalkeeping coach, played a big role in that, as the results show,” said Lundqvist.
Igor Shesterkin was recognized last season as the best goaltender in the NHL.
