Hearing in Ivan Fedotov case could be postponed

In July, the goalkeeper of the Russian national team and Philadelphia Ivan Fedotov was drafted into the army. Now he serves in a unit in Severodvinsk. Fedotov himself, through a lawyer, is challenging this appeal in court.

Fedotov was arrested in St. Petersburg on suspicion of escaping military service, then the athlete was taken to Severodvinsk. The 25-year-old hockey player filed a complaint against the St. Petersburg selection committee, a preliminary meeting is to be held on September 20.
