Hockey player “Vegas” Dorofeev: “There was talk about my development in Tractor, but in reality it turned out completely different”

Russian striker from the NHL club Vegas Golden Knights Pavel Dorofeev said he never had the chance to break into the main Chelyabinsk Traktor team.

In the summer of 2020, Dorofeev was traded to the Chelyabinsk club from Metallurg Magnitogorsk, and the 21-year-old striker played one game in the KHL for Traktor. In January last year, the hockey player terminated the contract, and then moved to Vegas.

– There were no offers from Chelyabinsk – to return to play in a team or to exchange you for another club?

– Personally, they didn’t call me about it. From “Tractor” spoke with the agent, but I can’t say exactly what, – quotes Dorofeev “RB Sport”

– So what went wrong in Tractor?

“I failed to express myself properly.

– You didn’t want to play in the VHL for Chelmet?

– I was sent to the VHL and played there – no doubt. But about my development, there were conversations in which they should have given me a chance in the KHL, but in reality it turned out completely different. And my agent and I decided why not try our luck abroad.

– Did you have any communication with Traktor head coach Anvar Gatiyatulin about this?

“There was no communication with him.
