Student national ice hockey team of Ukraine recognized her rivals at the forthcoming XXXI Winter World Universiade.
In the group stage, the blue-yellows will play with Canada, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Latvia and Japan. To advance to the playoffs, you need to take place from first to fourth.
Now the coaching tandem of the national team Vadim Shakhraichuk and Konstantin Simchuk is in the process of completing the national team. Students of Ukrainian and foreign higher educational institutions will be able to get into the application – the age of hockey players should not exceed 25 years.
The best result of Ukraine at the Universiade is the tournament in Poprad-1999. Then the team of Alexander Seukand won gold medals.
The hockey tournament of the XXXI Winter World Universiade will be held from January 12 to 22, 2023 in Lake Placid, USA.
