“In the summer I focused on my condition. Several KHL clubs contacted me, but in the NHL you can’t negotiate until July. There were no offers from then on in August, and I didn’t want to join the AHL. And if I don’t play in the NHL, then I want to play in the KHL and I ended up choosing Dynamo.
In the KHL, I spoke with five or six clubs. When I looked at the composition of Dynamo, I realized that they have no defender of such a plan and I can help them. It’s not about competition, I want to play and be useful,” Menell said.
