According to , five-time Olympic synchronized swimming champion Anastasia Davydova who left Russia, moved to Dubai (UAE), where she is now.

Earlier, a copy of the letter on Davydova’s departure from Russia appeared on , which notes that the 39-year-old ex-athlete has no plans to return to the country.

Davydova is the Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC). ROC chairman Stanislav Pozdnyakov earlier said he was unaware of Davydova’s departure from Russia, noting that her powers would be extended until the Olympic meeting scheduled for December.

Davydova won gold medals at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and 2008 in Beijing in duet and group, as well as at the 2012 Games in group. Davydova was elected Secretary General of the ROC in May 2014.
