Russian national team skier Timashov and team leader Borisov, after receiving the summons, asked for a postponement

According to , the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) has asked the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation for a reprieve for Anton Timashov, a member of the main cross-country ski team, and Roman Borisov, the head of the team, who received a summons from the military registration and enlistment office.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization on September 21.

Russian national cross-country team head coach Yuri Borodavko earlier in an interview with confirmed our reports that Borisov received a summons. According to Borodavko, “Borisov was at the military registration and enlistment office, his documents were checked and he was released.”
