Athletistic/ Others. Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) President Stanislav Pozdnyakov expressed confidence that Russian athletes will compete in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, United States.
“There are six years left until the Los Angeles Olympics, and today we are laying the foundations of the Olympic team which will have to go to Los Angeles. I am one hundred percent sure that we will be there. It is on the territory of a strong opponent that we have to show our best qualities inherent in the Russians,” said Pozdnyakov.
Currently, the majority of Russian athletes are suspended from participating in international competitions. A decision on whether the Russians will compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris and the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo has yet to be made.
