Head Coach of the Russian National Synchronized Swimming Team Tatiana Pokrovskaya told that the five-time Olympic champion who had previously left the country Anastasia Davydova wants to leave the presidium of the Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation.
Earlier, a copy of the letter on Davydova’s departure from Russia appeared on , which notes that the 39-year-old ex-athlete has no plans to return to the country.
– The Russian Synchronized Swimming Federation spoke with Anastasia Davydova, she wants to request the resignation of the presidium, but since I am not at work, I am still on vacation, I personally did not communicate. They just let me know. I don’t have any further details,” Pokrovskaya told a correspondent.
A source told that the former Russian national team synchronized swimmer has moved to Dubai (UAE), where she is currently.
Davydova also serves as Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC). ROC chairman Stanislav Pozdnyakov said earlier he was unaware of Davydova’s departure from Russia, noting that her powers would be extended until the Olympic meeting scheduled for December.
