Athletistic/ Others. Three-time Olympic biathlon and cross-country skiing champion Anfisa Reztsova has reacted to IOC chief Thomas Bach’s comments regarding the possible admission of Russian athletes to the Olympics if they walk away from the SVO.
“Absolute nonsense and nonsense. Bach, who himself said that sport is out of politics, is now saying this. He wants to buy Russian athletes, their opinion and divide us into good and bad.
We should be allowed to compete by right, not because of the athletes’ political position. We will therefore continue to defend our right to perform there, and not to humiliate ourselves in front of the IOC”, quotes RB Sport Reztsova.
Previously, the IOC had recommended sports federations not to allow Russian athletes to participate in international tournaments.
