Athletistic/ Cross-country skiing. As previously reported, IOC chief Thomas Bach has said that Russian athletes could be allowed to compete internationally if they sign some sort of statement saying they disagree with the CWO.
Elena Vyalbe, president of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), responded to Bach’s proposal.
– Tomorrow, we will meet and discuss with colleagues from our association. I now want to convince the athletes that even if there is a certain neutral status, without any political explanation, it can still be considered. There can be no question of signing a declaration. But in this situation, I wouldn’t go anywhere at all,” Vyalbe said.
