The Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) announced on the official website the creation of a code of ethics.
The document presents a set of general principles of professional ethics and basic rules of professional conduct for those who make up the professional figure skating community.
In the “Basic Rules of Conduct for Athletes” section, skaters were to:
– know and strictly respect the rules of the anti-doping regulations and exclude the use of certain drugs without special therapeutic authorization for their use, issued in strict compliance with the standards of the anti-doping regulations;
– whatever the result of the competition, go to the prize-giving ceremony and participate in press conferences and other events agreed with the FFKKR press officer;
– when participating in the parade of participants and the award ceremony at official international competitions, have with you the flag of the Russian Federation and, subject to the presence of a uniform issued by the FFKKR or the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, be in it.
In March, due to the situation in Ukraine, Russian athletes were suspended from participating in international competitions under the auspices of the International Skating Union until further notice.
