The head of the Kaliningrad Region Weightlifting Federation, Kirill Sutyka, told that the organization was worried, but no one began to dissuade him from being called up for the mobilization service.
Earlier, Sutyka had announced on his social media that he would serve as a Baltic Fleet Marine Corps Sergeant.
“I’m mobilized,” Sutyka told .
– As head of the sports federation, have you had the possibility of obtaining a postponement, or have you even started to think about such an option?
“I have no reprieve, and hiding or inventing something else is not my credo.
– How did the coaches and athletes of the federation perceive your mobilization? Supported? And is there anyone else from the conference who also received a call and went to serve?
– Everyone was very worried, but no one supported and dissuaded. I was not the only one called up from the federation. The other guys were sent home because of an unsuitable military specialty.
– You wrote that you became a sergeant of the Marine Corps of the Baltic Fleet. So you already had military experience?
I’m a reserve sergeant. The title was awarded for exemplary performance of military duties.
– Who will manage the federation in your absence, do you have the possibility of maintaining communication with the office?
– All members of the presidium will perform, but there is no way to maintain communications.
– What do you think about the initiative of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation to draw up lists of athletes of the Russian national team, reserve and coaches for postponement?
— Negatively. Athletes are worth ten ordinary people, especially from athletics and martial arts, guys from the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will come in handy.
