“It is a big surprise for me and at the same time a great honor to be marked by the Russian Book of Records. I believe this is our joint achievement, which could not have happened without my family, the doctors, judges and everyone who was still there, sick and worried. This award certainly added motivation and inspiration for new records” – among others wrote gymnast on the Telegram channel of the Averin sisters.
Dina entered the Russian Book of Records as the Russian gymnast with the most victories at the world championships – the athlete has 18. Her triumphs came at the world championships in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021. Averina is four-time absolute world champion of the same years, as well as three-time silver medalist of the World Championship (2017 – ball, ribbon; 2021 – ribbon) and owner of the bronze medal of the 2019 World Championship in hoop exercises.
Dina Averina’s track record includes 10 victories at the European Championships (2017, 2019, 2021), 3 gold medals at the 2019 European Games and silver at the 2020 Olympics (2021).
