Russian figure skaters Yasmina Kadyrova and Valery Kolesov after performing a free program at the Panin-Kolomenkin memorial, they noted that they still did not know if they would participate in demonstration shows in St. Petersburg, and also expressed their confidence that in the future they would would make a quadruple throw.
On October 8, at the Panin-Kolomenkin memorial in St. Petersburg, couples presented free programs. Kadyrova and Kolesov are fifth after the short program with 67.48 points.
– How did you ride during the first joint tournament?
– Excellent! Of course, in training, it goes better. But competition is a special feeling. You are nervous, your breathing quickens. We are just beginning our journey together. Performance is rated three stars. In the short program, the form was not very good, the free program was better.
– Will you participate in demonstration performances?
– We don’t know yet – they will tell us based on the results. Prepared a number in the style of boogie-woogie.
“Are you studying quadruple release?”
Yasmina: – We tried on the show, and we succeeded. But when the season started, they decided to put this process on hold.
Valery: – I would like to add that Yasya jumped the quadruple salchow in singles. She has an excellent twist, so we have the prospect of conquering a quadruple ejection.
Yasmina: – Sometimes I get so carried away that I have to stop. I think soon quadruple will be even easier than triple at once.
The Kadyrov/Kolesov pair finished second in total programs, scoring 203.34 points.
