The teams will play their first match on October 12
Composition determined Ukrainian men’s handball team for the qualifying round matches for the European Championship 2024.
The Blue-Yellows will gather on October 10 in Grosswalstadt, Germany. The first match for Ukraine is scheduled for October 12 with the Faroe Islands (in Aschaffenburg the match will be “home” for the blue and yellow). On October 16, in the second round, Ukraine will play with Romania in Bucharest.

The top two teams from each qualifying group will advance to the finals of Euro 2024, as well as the top four teams that finished third in their quartets.
The European Championship will be held on January 10-28, 2024. In total, 24 teams will play in Euro 2024. Four participants in the continental championship are already known: Germany (host country), Sweden (current European champion), Spain and Denmark (silver and bronze medalists of Euro 2022).
At the European Championship 2022, the Ukrainian team failed to overcome the group stage. The blue-yellows lost all three matches in the group – Serbia (23:31), France (23:36) and Croatia (25:38).
