Beloded lost in the quarterfinals of the 2022 World Judo Championship in Tashkent

The Ukrainian next lost in the repechage bout in the fight for bronze

Ukrainian judoka Daria Beloded lost in the quarterfinals World Cup 2022 in Tashkent. The Ukrainian lost the fight to Rafaela Silva from Brazil in the category up to 57 kilograms.

Beloded continued the competition in the repechage bracket, but failed to qualify for the bronze medal match. The Ukrainian lost to the representative of Mongolia, Enkhrilen Lkhagvatogo.

During the tournament, Daria defeated the silver medalist of Tokyo 2020 Sara-Leoni Sizik from France and Angela Samarzic from Bosnia.

Recall that the Ukrainian is a two-time world champion in the weight up to 48 kilograms, and recently moved to a heavier weight. The head coach of the Ukrainian judo team Vitaliy Dubrova called the transition the right decision and indicated that the current world championship for Darya would be of an intermediate nature.

The 2022 World Championship in Tashkent takes place from 6 to 13 October.
