Athletistic/ Others. Three-time Olympic champion in pair skating, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Irina Rodnina shared her opinion on the work of the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach.
“Thomas Bach is not responsible for his words and is doing everything to make the Olympic movement collapse. The ultimatums that he and the organization issue to Russian athletes will come to nothing. If every Olympian is allowed to compete according to of his political views, the sport will turn into chaos” – said Rodnina.
Earlier, Thomas Bach said that the IOC would consider returning to competition Russian and Belarusian athletes who publicly distance themselves from the Russian military special operation on the territory of Ukraine.
