Russian judges have not been assigned to the 2023 World and European Figure Skating Championships, according to the International Skating Union (ISU).
On Tuesday, the federation published a document showing the distribution of judges for international starts in the junior and adult age categories, including the European Championship (January 23-29, Finland), the Four Continents Championship (7- February 12, USA), the World Championship (March 20-26, Japan) and the World Synchronized Figure Skating Championship (March 31 – April 1, USA). There are no Russian representatives on the list.
In April, the ISU suspended Russian athletes, as well as all officials connected with the Russian Figure Skating Federation, from participating in international competitions and other events under its auspices until further notice.
The Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended at the end of February to the federations to ban the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in international competitions because of the situation in Ukraine. Many federations have followed these recommendations.
