The national team played in the second match of the qualifying group stage for the world championship.
The Ukrainian national futsal team managed to win the second victory in the first round of qualification for the World Cup. In a nominally home meeting, the “yellow-blues” hosted the Dutch team in Jelgava, Latvia.
The Ukrainians confidently started the meeting and in the middle of the first half they beat the opponent 3:0. However, such an easy start played a “cruel joke” on our team, after resting they received two quick goals from the opponent, and then the match continued very nervously.
Oleksandr Kosenko’s wards managed to “finish” the opponent only in the last minute of the meeting – hitting the empty net of the opponent who was in a hurry to attack.
4:2 – and Ukraine, having won two victories in two matches, is confidently leading the qualifying group for the 2024 World Cup. Ahead of the matches in the second round.
