Men’s national handball team of Ukraine defeated the Faroe Islands in the 1st round of the qualifying stage for the European Championship 2024.
The Ukrainian team won the first half of the match by four goals — 18:14. After the break, the blue-yellows kept their advantage.
On October 16, in the second round, Ukraine will play with Romania in Bucharest. The top two teams from each qualifying group will advance to the finals of Euro 2024, as well as the top four teams that finished third in their quartets.
The European Championship will be held on January 10-28, 2024. In total, 24 teams will play in Euro 2024. Four participants in the continental championship are already known: Germany (host country), Sweden (current European champion), Spain and Denmark (silver and bronze medalists of Euro 2022).
