The Ukrainian gave her opponent Ysaline Bonaventure only five games
Ukrainian tennis player Angelina Kalinina advanced to the quarterfinals of the series tournament WTA 250 in a romanian city Cluj-Napoca.
The Ukrainian, seeded at the tournament under the second number, confidently beat the Belgian Isaline Bonaventure. It took Kalinina one hour and 17 minutes to do this.
In the first set, Bonaventure imposed a fight and had a chance to save the game. However, the Ukrainian at the decisive moment played three break points and won the set.
In the second game, Kalinina had an even greater advantage. Angelina won five games in a row, and confidently advanced to the next round, where she will play with the winner of the meeting Xin Yu Wang – Anna Blinkova.
Recall that in the first round of Kalinin was the Canadian Eugenie Bouchard. Angelina won the first set, and then her opponent withdrew due to injury.
Earlier, two more Ukrainians completed their performances at the tournament in Romania. Marta Kostyuk (in the first round) and Dayana Yastremska (in the second) lost in turn to the Italian Jasmine Paolini.
