Athletistic/ Figure Skating. Three-time Olympic champion Irina Rodnina expressed the opinion that the transition of figure skater Alexandra Trusova from the Tutberidze group to the Sokolovskaya team could help the “Russian rocket” find sporting motivation after the grueling Beijing Olympics.
“Maybe something good will come out of it. At least she didn’t end her career after the Olympics, but found herself a new challenge. I don’t know how much Trusova needs a coach. She is always alone and does what she wants. But Trusova is an ambitious athlete, that cannot be taken away,” said Rodnina, as quoted by Sport24.
