Athletistic/ Others. The president of the association of European Olympic Committees (EOC), Spyros Capralos, said that Russian and Belarusian athletes were not allowed to participate in the 2023 European Games, which will be held in Poland.

“Under current conditions, the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus in competitions next year is impossible,” Kapralos said.

The European Games are competitions between athletes from the European continent, which take place every four years under the auspices of the European Olympic Committees (EOC). For the first time, the European Games were held in 2015 in the capital of Azerbaijan – the city of Baku, in 2019 the games were hosted by the capital of Belarus – Minsk.

The 2023 European Games will be held in Krakow and Lesser Poland Voivodeship from June 21 to July 2.
