Ukraine’s women’s volleyball team has a chance to compete at the Olympic Games. According to the President of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Melnik, the leadership of international volleyball invited our team to participate in the qualification for the 2024 Games.
It should be noted that the last time the Ukrainian national volleyball team played at the Olympics was in 1996.
“Good news! The Ukrainian women’s team received an invitation to participate in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament! Our team got it thanks to the high (24th) place in the World Ranking! Congratulations to the whole volleyball community. Thanks to the team , coaching staff and especially Vladimir Dubinsky for the work done!” Melnik wrote.
It can be recalled that it was previously reported that boxing may not be included in the Olympics due to IBA’s relationship with Russia.
