Swimming coach Chepik says Sabitova, disqualified for doping, has not trained with the national team for a long time

Team Head Coach Russia swimming Sergei Chepik said the disqualified Alexandra Sabitova did not train at the center with the first team and let her colleagues and the federation down by violating anti-doping rules.

On Monday, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) announced that Sabitova, who holds the Russian youth record in the 100m butterfly, has been suspended for 2 years for using furosemide. The suspension will expire on September 6, 2024.
