The Ukrainian national team continues to set records in the Deaflympiad

On the next day of the Games, our team’s piggy bank was filled with six awards, three of which were gold.

Ukraine set another victory in Deaflympiad 2021 in the city of Caxias do Sul in Brazil. Following the results of the 11th day of competition, our team set a personal record for the number of gold medals won at the Games for hearing-impaired athletes.

Ukraine for the first time in history crossed the mark of 50 gold medals – two days before the end of the competition, our team already had 51 highest awards. In total, according to the results of the 11th day, the Ukrainians won six awards – three gold, one silver and two bronze.

gold:

Anna Fedoseeva (orienteering, long distance);

Alexander Sankin (orienteering, long distance);

Violetta Lykova (bullet shot, small caliber rifle from three positions).

silver:

Ruslan Nikolaenko (orienteering, long distance).

Brass:

Anna Androsovich (orienteering, long distance);

Sergey Fomin (shooting, high-speed shooting from a small caliber pistol, 25 m)

In total, so far, the “blue-yellow” 116 medals, allowing you to confidently lead the medal standings. The closest rival is the US team, with a total of 45 medals in assets.

Ukraine – 116 medals (gold – 51, silver – 31, bronze – 34);

USA – 45 medals (gold – 18, silver – 7, bronze – 20);

Iran – 31 medals (gold – 12, silver – 8, bronze – 11);

Japan – 30 medals (gold – 12, silver – 8, bronze – 10);

South Korea – 41 medals (gold – 11, silver – 17, bronze – 13).
