The Milan club is waiting for the decision of the Slovak defender to extend the contract
Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta commented on the possible extension of the contract with the defender of the club Milan Skriniar.
“We are optimistic and confident, but of course everything depends on Skrinjar and his plans for the future. As the CEO of Inter, I have to be confident in this deal.”
The 27-year-old Slovak’s contract with Inter expires next June. Previously, the Milan club offered Skriniar a new long-term contract with one of the highest salaries in the team.
Skrinjar joined Inter in the summer of 2017 from Sampdoria. The Slovak has played 14 matches for the Nerazzurri this season.
As part of the 10th round of the Italian championship, Inter beat Salernitana in Milan – 2: 0. After this victory, Inter had 18 points, and Simone Inzaghi’s team rose to seventh place in the standings.
In the next round on October 22, Inter will play away with Fiorentina.
