Athletistic/ Others. As previously reported, the 26th General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) is being held these days in Seoul, Korea, which is also attended by the head of the ROC, Stanislav Pozdnyakov.
During the Assembly, the Secretary General of the NOC of Sri Lanka, Maxwell da Silva, also took the floor, proposing to amend the Olympic Charter to strengthen the unity of the entire Olympic movement.
Among other things, a senior official said all sanctions must be lifted for Russian and Belarusian athletes so they can return to all international competitions.
We add that the current head of the IOC, Thomas Bach, has already announced that the sanctions against athletes from Russia and Belarus should be extended.
