Vadym Gutzeit shared his plans for the resumption of the Ukrainian football championship.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports is confident of the imminent end of the war. This was said in an interview on Football 1/2/3 TV channel by the head of the department Vadim Gutzeit. The official said the ministry is already considering how to hold sports competitions in the country.
“We have a vision that we need to resume our sport so that football can start. We are now consulting on how to do this, where they will start playing. We still believe that in the near future, in a month, two, three , the war will end, and we will play in Ukraine, but if it continues, we will have to start the championship somewhere abroad.
We need to focus on making sure that there is football in Ukraine, so that we have nothing to lose, and the teams are playing: our children, youth teams, the adult national team of Ukraine, which will now play many against other countries. The development of football is very important for us, so we are looking at and consulting on what we need to do to continue our championship, ”Gutzeit said.
