Figure skater Dmitry Kozlovsky acting in concert with Alexandra Boykova believes that the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) is doing everything possible to financially support athletes during the stages of the Russian Grand Prix.
The winner of the stages of the Russian Grand Prix will receive 500,000 rubles, the silver medalist – 300,000 rubles, the bronze medalist – 200,000 rubles. On Saturday, Kozlovsky and Boikova became the first in the short program at the Russian Grand Prix stop in Sochi.
– 500 thousand for first place – is this normal? It seems to me that now we have come out of the situation that has developed. People try to do a lot, to provide all the amenities to the maximum. Of course, money is important. As you can see, the FFKKR is trying to do everything so that we have this money. Do you prefer to save or spend? It depends on the budget,” Kozlovsky told reporters.
The skaters will present their free program on Sunday.
